Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 19 mm, 3.52 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Arelate. Irregular mint, after 325. CONSTAN-TINVS AVG Laureate head of Constantine I to right. Rev. VIRTV-S AVGG / S - F / ARLS Camp gate with no doors and four turrets; above, star. Cf. RIC 313 (for possible prototype). Slightly rough and with minor doubling on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.

The style of this coin is clearly unofficial, indicating that it is a contemporary 'barbarous' imitation. It resembles Arles RIC 313 but has no doors and the bust is in Trier style, not Arles.
